2011 Operation Military Salute

Operation Military Salute is a jointly manned event between the PTSD Foundation of America and the Houston West Chamber of Commerce promoted by Hayley Ranch Consulting, Inc. The location for this year’s event is Second Baptist Church, Woodway Campus, which boasts a seating capacity of 4200, among other incredible resources and facilities. This event, formerly known as the Houston West Chamber of Commerce Salute to Veterans has a seven-year history and originally honored Veterans only. Over the years, the Houston West Chamber’s event has raised funds for numerous causes including USO Houston, The Veterans Museum of Texas, PTSD Foundation, and others.

This year’s Operation Military Salute will be Houston’s premier and most memorable event honoring over 700 military from all branches of service- Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp and Coast Guard including Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Retired, and Patriot Riders. A highlight of this year’s event will take place when we will honor several outstanding patriots with the 2011 Texas Heart of Service Award.

Lieutenant General William G. Boykin (ret); Former United States Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence will be our keynote speaker. We are honored to have Medal of Honor Recipient, Mike Thornton, US Navy, and Major General Robert Dees as our guest speakers. Wayne Newton who has toured as a performer in every conflict since Vietnam will make a special guest appearance and among our celebrity performers are Nash 3 and Kevin Black. Other Special Guests will include Texas dignitaries, members of the State Senate and Congress, military leadership, local celebrities, and members of PTSD Foundation of America Board of Directors, Members of the Houston West Chamber Board of Directors, The Houston Texans, and the media.
